The Blog. My thoughts.

Louis Vuitton

This one was a fun one to take. I was on this spot for about 10mins waiting for the best opportunity to take a photo. Being Louis Vuitton, there were a lot of people constantly stopping by to take pictures, or walking up to the store. I eventually captured this shot, but I wish I had thought of increasing the f-stop to create a longer exposure and eliminate more of the ghosts left by people. Another thing I learned during this trip to Singapore was the importance of NOT touching the camera when capturing a long exposure. One might think that pushing the shutter button gently won’t make a difference to the photo, but after reviewing the photos I’ve found several that are a bit blurry. The timer works well for long exposures; it saves me from buying and carrying a shutter release cable. However, these cables will come in handy if I were to take exposures longer than 30sec, which is the limit on most DSLRs.
