Tai O Hong Kong Tai O, Hong Kong

Tai O

Tai O was a nice place to visit, shame I left it till so late on my stay in Hong Kong. There is a large fishing community here, and all the food is delicious! My friends and I spent a whole afternoon here and left at night. Our last stop was this place that used…

ANZAC Day Lest We Forget Lest We Forget

Lest We Forget

As today is ANZAC Day in Australia, I thought I’d share this photo I took earlier this year. I happened to be showing a friend the Gold Coast when I came across this elderly gentleman sitting next to this monument. I was glad to have my camera with me. Lest we forget.

Tai Po Hong Kong Sunset in Hong Kong

Photograph in RAW

I thought I’d do something a bit different with this post and not only share a photo, but also show you the original image before I did any post processing on it. This was taken not far from Tai Po (or maybe this was still Tai Po?) in Hong Kong. A couple of my friends…

Man at Victoria Harbour Hong Kong Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

Fishing at Victoria Harbour

I don’t understand how people can fish basically anywhere there’s water in Hong Kong. The water in some places looks disgusting, and that includes here at Victoria Harbour due to all the shipping activity. And I don’t think this is catch and release either. Perhaps some people prefer their fish with extra taste?

Causeway Bay Hong Kong Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Causeway Bay

Causeway Bay was the first place I set foot outside of the subway network. After an 8 hour flight from Brisbane, I arrived at Causeway Bay at 11:30pm, and thinking everything would be close by now, I was really surprised when I saw so many people, lots of bright neon lights, and non-stop traffic. I…

My first stop was Festival Walk, where I went floor by floor taking photos of everything! On this photo you can see a choir on the bottom floor; the Apple…

Avenue of Stars Hong Kong Avenue of Stars - Hong Kong

Avenue of Stars

Perhaps one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hong Kong is the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. Plenty of movie stars have left their mark along the harbour walkway, and you’ll also find a Bruce Lee statue and a movie set where people can take the seat of Director for some photo…

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands

Venice in Singapore

One of the cool features of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands shopping centre in Singapore was this canal replica running through the middle of the shopping centre. You could even ride on the boats! I believe the design of this shopping centre is one of the most stunning I’ve seen. In case you missed…

Hong Kong Hong Kong

Multi-Million Dollar View

Kowloon Tong in Hong Kong is supposedly known as the city’s second most expensive area to live in, after Central. And this is where my exchange university, CityU, is located. The university dorms are located up the hill from the campus, and this is the view I had from my hall. Sometimes I used to look out…

Tsim Sha Tsui Photographer Tsim Sha Tsui Photographer

Photographer

One night in Hong Kong I headed to Tsim Sha Tsui for some photography, and as I walked around the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, I noticed this photographer. This photo kind of represents the environment and mood in which many photographers work in; solitude. It’s how I photograph actually. For one, I don’t like to…
